Thursday April 3rd

 Here is the plan for today:

Period 1 -Red light, read aloud and reader's workshop, mini lesson focusing on Author's message.

Period 2 -Writer's workshop -we'll be looking at varying the start of sentences.

Period 3 is Social Studies for the Grade 2's (Raspopov/Smeaton) and the Grade 3's will stay here to practice their cursive letter 'e'.

Period 4 we'll go outside maybe for a bit to enjoy this weather.  When we come in we'll practice using google drawing to make our own mazes.

Period 5 is buddies.  We'll be exploring making and completing mazes today.

Period 6 is Gym with Mr. D.

Wednesday April 2nd

 Here is the plan for today-

Period 1- Red light, read aloud, reader's workshop- focus on asking good questions, before, during and after reading.

Period 2 -Writer's workshop - we'll be using the SWBST (somebody, wanted, but, so, then) organizer to help us write stories.

Period 3 and 4 is math.  We'll do some division worksheets period 3 and use knowledgehook period 4 to consolidate our division skills period 4.

Period 5 is health with Mr. D.

Period 6 I've decided with the inevitable indoor recesses to pull the plug on guitar today (sorry Mr. Bates!).  We'll use Period 6 as a finish up period

Tuesday April 1st

 Here is the plan for today:

Period 1 -Red light, Desk Swap, April Fools Quiz and read aloud.

Period 2 -French

Period 3 -we'll spend some time outside (before tomorrow's rain) and come back in for some more division work.

Period 4 -when we're done our division work on paper, we'll use the computer to do some more division work.

Period 5 and 6 the Grade 2's are off to Smeaton/Raspopov for some social studies... Grade 3's will stick around for some more cursive practice...it's going slow, but they're having fun.  We'll also begin to look at some EQAO-type questions.
