Here is the plan for today:
Period 1 - Reader's workshop - which was mostly interrupted by our practise lockdown drill. The kids were actually amazingly quiet and serious during this practise...very proud.
Period 2- French with Mr. Woolley.
Periods 3/4 -Math - We'll have a little mask break. We're going to finish our Location and Movement assignment on Google Classroom, then I have a short quiz for the class to 'show what they know'. After that they'll be able to choose whether they want to play prodigy or other location/movement games.
http://ferrarisgrade3.weebly.com/unit-8--motion-geometry.html - here is link (another teacher's website) to some of the things we've been covering in class.
Period 5 is writer's workshop. We'll continue working on answering the the 5 W's when writing newspaper articles.
Period 6 is social studies. This will be an introduction to our next unit (life in the early 1800's in Canada). Today we're going to look at a timeline of historical events (e.g, dinosaurs, invention of iPhone) and see where in relation the 1800's are...and how life was different. Early Settlers -timeline
