Here is the plan for today...
Period 1 was read aloud, and weekend round up.
Period 2 was reader's/writer's workshop...student choice.
Period 3 and 4, after we played outside for a little extra time, we came in and did some math. We started multiplication today. We mostly talked about how multiplication is just repeated addition. Today we looked at the 2 times tables (which is just knowing our 'doubles'). We also covered the 4's times tables...which we just doubled the 2 strategy (e.g., 4 x 6 ....think 2 x 6 =12...then double the 12, so 4 x 6 = 24).
Period 5 is music with Mrs. Haynes.
Period 6 was supposed to be science...but I think I'll switch it to Math...keep going with the 2's and 4's multiplication.
