Happy Friday!
Here is the plan for today:
Period 1 - Red light, read aloud, reader's workshop- I've got another 'class script' to show how we can capture a characters emotions via dialogue (e.g., Aleks whispered, “I think there’s something under the bed…”)
Period 2 -we'll head to the library for book exchange. I also have posted a parts of speech game on classroom where we'll learn about adverbs. After we're done that, they can work on their adjective awards.
Period 3 we'll stay outside of a bit. When we come back in we'll talk about pictographs (https://www.mathsisfun.com/data/pictographs.html).
Period 4 if they finish the work I have, they'll go onto Prodigy and answer some pictograph questions.
Period 5 I've got a STEM challenge where I'll put the kids into groups and they'll work together to build the tallest tower out of Spaghetti noodles and marshmallows.
Period 6 is gym with Mr. D.
