Here is what we did today:
Period 1 Red light, read aloud, weekend round up.
Period 2 I conferenced with everyone about their 'popping' paragraphs while they read/write with friends.
Period 3 was music.
Period 4 we went outside to enjoy the weather.
Period 5 we started Perimeter...I think we've got it.
Period 6 we went to the library.
Period 1 -Red light, read aloud, reader's workshop - rereading to make sense.
Period 2 -writer's workshop...more time to make paragraphs pop.
Period 3 -Science/Social studies...we'll be going outside to watch our Grade 2's friends fly some kites.
Period 4 -Math -working on deciding which unit to use (mm, cm, m or km)
Period 5 -computer buddies...hopefully start writing stories on google slides.
Period 6 -gym with Mr. D.
Period 1 Red light, read aloud, reading comprehension activity.
Period 2 -Making our Paragraphs Pop
Period 3 -talk about the millimetre (mm), and how to convert between mm, cm, m, and km.
Period 4 -maybe get outside?
Period 5 is gym with Mr. D.
Period 6 we'll do a fun art activity called 'animals in disguise' with Mrs. Wilson.
Here is the plan for today:
Period 1 -Red light, read aloud, phonics lesson - OO, U / short u sound.
Period 2 -French Woolley.
Period 3 -Math...introduction to measurement - cm and mm...maybe even the Km
Period 4 -Math continued...maybe some prodigy time (more measurement questions).
Period 5 and 6 -Grade 2's to Smeaton/Raspopov - Grade 3's stay here. Start with plant life cycles and then move to early communities...zeroing in on the 1890's.

Period 3 is Music with Mrs. Haynes.
Period 4 I've got a 'clock' bingo game I want to try.
Period 5 we'll finish working on our 'Party Invitations' on Google Drawing.
Period 6 is Library.

Period 2 -Student choice, reader's/writer's workshop...you can work with a partner.
Period 3 -Mrs. Haynes music.
Period 4 -Math - continue to work on our dream party invitations (elapsed time)
Period 5 and 6 -"tech day". I'm not entirely sure what that will involve, but we'll celebrate reaching our goal of raising over $100 for HLF.

Here is what we did today:
Period 1 - Red light, read aloud and Seating Swap.
Period 2 was Reader's/Writer's workshop while I conferenced with students about potential friend groups for next year.
Period 3 the Grade 2's went to Smeaton/Raspopov and the 3's went outside for a bit, then we worked briefly on Tinkercad.
Period 4 we used the Chromebooks to design our own 'ideal party' invitations on Google Drawing. The kids will be picking activities and calculating the elapsed times (e.g., Eat Cake from 2pm -3pm = 1 hour elapsed time).
Period 5 is Computer Buddies...we'll be making birthday cakes on Tinkercad.
Period 6 is Health with Mr. D.
