Here is what we did today:
Period 1 - Red light, read aloud, Seating Swap and Beatrix's Anime slideshow.
Period 2 -we did more research for our 'zines'.
Period 3 - we enjoyed the fresh air outside.
Period 4 -we explored 'probability fair'..to get us ready for our next unit on Probability.
Period 5 -we earned some free time.
Period 6 -gym with Mr. D.

I expect today (and tomorrow) to be a little chaotic. The Glenview Fun Fair is always an exciting time of the year.
Here is the plan...but subject to change!
Period 1 - Red light, read aloud, and we'll jump on Microsoft Make Arcade to refresh our coding chops before buddies.
Period 2 - I'm going to introduce the students to mini-zines....they're going to self publish tiny magazines of things they're interested in...we'll begin thinking about it today.
Period 3 is math. We'll finish up our money unit by making change.
Period 4 is music with Mrs. Haynes.
Period 5 is buddies, we'll do some coding with Mrs. Ever's class.
Period 6 is free time!
Today will be similar to yesterday:
Period 1 and 2 - EQAO - Language (reading) Session C, and Language (writing) Session D.
Period 3 and 4 - Math Stage 3 and 4 - EQAO Done!
Period 5 and 6 - Math test....just kidding. We'll keep it light. There is a questionnaire for the kids to fill out. We'll read some Holes, have some free time and celebrate being done EQAO for the next 3 years.

Period 1 - Red light, Read aloud, and a fun Blooket...that has nothing to do with school...just trying to keep it light today.
Period 2 - French - Mr Woolley
Period 3 & 4 - Language EQAO -reading and writing
Period 5 & 6 Math EQAO
In previous years, it hasn't taken the entire 100 minute block to complete EQAO...so if everyone finishes early, we'll sneak outside.

Period 1 Red light, read aloud, and go through the sample EQAO questions together.
Period 2 a chance to read or write with a friend.
Period 3 Ball throw try outs.
Period 4 Subtraction with money...
Period 5 gym
Period 6 Free time....EQAO mindfulness....
I just realized that I didn't post on Wednesday or Thursday (I was absent Thursday). My apologies to my legions of fan (thank you to the one person who reads this).
Period 1 -Red light, read aloud, and presentations...everyone has presented their choose your own adventure slidshows nows.
Period 2 -was more practice logging into EQAO.
Period 3 -we had our 'long jump' tryouts.
Period 4 -we attempted subtraction with money...we are a bit rusty on subtraction.
Period 5 we'll have some free time while I conference with people one on one.
Period 6 is gym with Mr. D.

Monday Schedule:
Here is the plan for today:
Period 1- Red light, read aloud, weekend round Up
Period 2 - Choose Your Own Adventure Slideshows, reader's/writer's workshop.
Period 3 and 4 we'll play outside for a little bit, then come in and practice logging into EQAO to get ready for next week. We'll also do some more work adding money.
Period 5 is gym with Mr. D.
Period 6 we'll do a little science....we'll look at how animals and human help plants...and how plants help humans and animals!

Period 1 -Red light, read aloud, and some CYOA presentations...
Period 2 - EQAO practice....we're going to practice scoring some previous tests...and even try writing and assessing our own questions today.
Period 3 and 4 -its' so nice we'll stick around outside for a bit. When we come in we'll continue to practice adding money with decimals...lining them up vertically. I've also put some questions on Prodigy to answer.
Period 5 -we'll cruise into the weekend with a little finish up/free time.
Period 6 is gym with Mr. D.

Period 1- Red light, read aloud, work on slideshows.
Period 2 -French
Period 3 and 4 - if it's nice we'll stay outside for a bit. In math we're going to be talking about efficiency...and using the least amount of coins and bills as possible.
Period 5 and 6 is science. We'll look at how we (humans) use plants (e.g., clothes, medicine, building supplies etc...). I'm hoping period 6 they come up with their own plant invention.

Period 2 - work on slideshows / presentations?
Period 3 and 4 -walk to Aldershot to work with our Grade 8 buddies.

Period 6 -we might just have a little free time....it will be a game time decision at that point.

Period 1 -Red light, read aloud (Holes) and a quick mini lesson on -inferring.
Period 2 -We'll head to the library for book exchange, plus, we'll work on our slideshows...hopefully get a few more finished.
Period 3 -we'll do a little math...continue working on 'estimating' to help us with mental math...mostly rounding....
Period 4 - we're going to do some optical illusion art called "anamorgraphs". Not sure how they'll turn out, but we're going to try.
Period 5 -we'll continue on that art.
Period 6 - is gym with Mr. D.

Monday May 4th: We did stuff.
Today:
Period 1-Rehearsal for the big performance
Period 2 - French
Period 3 and 4 is math....we'll look very closely at the decimal....and what it does and where it belongs and how to line up addition questions with the decimal in the correct spot.
Period 5 is science...we'll finally learn about photosynthesis.
Period 6 I'll get the chromebooks and we'll continue working on our Choose Your Own Adventure Slideshows.

Here is what we did today:
Period 1- Red light, read aloud, and desk swap.
Period 2 -we began work on our own choose your own adventure slideshows.
Period 3 -it was sunny and beautiful outside...we stayed outside.
Period 4 -we came in and place a class wide blooket...Mr. Cross won (I've still got it!). Then we did 2 missions on Knowledgehook. Kids are really starting to get counting money.
Period 5 is going to be some free time.
Period 6 is gym with Mr. D.
