Yuck...a rainy Wednesday!
Here is what I am hoping we get to today!
Period 1 and 2 -Literacy
We're going to start the day by cleaning and organizing our desks (some are pretty scary). Then we'll read aloud. After that we'll do a little mini lesson on 'visualizing to focus' while reading.
For writing, we're going to talk about what to do when you're stuck, and looking at mentor texts to help us generate ideas.
Period 3 and 4 -Numeracy
We're going to dig a little deeper into 3 digit subtraction (with and without regrouping). We'll play this game on the smartboard and do many examples:
Then I have a game where they'll roll 3 dice and make numbers to subtract. Afterwards I'll have a couple of 3 digit subtraction worksheets...some will be a challenge and some will be a little less challenging...depending on where we are. (I think the website is password protected, but it'll give you an idea)

I had to move some things around today, so Mr. Woolley is going to come in period 5 for French and Period 6 we'll try and catch up on some unfinished work. Maybe a game of silent seatball if we're lucky!
