Here is the plan for today:
Period 1 - Red light, read aloud, reader's workshop: character motivation (how Roscuro's motivation has changed)
Period 2 - Writer's workshop: creating 'voice' through dialogue. They're going to write 2 lines of dialogue without saying who the character is...we have as a class have to decide
(e.g.., Person 1: "Good heavens! Whatever is that pungent, woolen monstrosity doing upon my pristine marble flooring? Someone fetch the Royal Tongs at once!"
Person 2: "Ooh, a foot-blanket! Finder's keepers! It’s got a bit of a pong to it, but it’ll keep me toesies warm in the dungeon, it will.").Period 3- Math - More Symmetry, more quadrilaterals.
Period 4 - Music
Period 5 and 6 is art. I'm hoping to teach them how to shade using 'cross hatching' technique. Then we'll look deep into value, and shading (Chiaroscuro)...we'll see how it goes.
