Sorry I missed yesterday's blog..busy day between workshop in the morning and taking to the kids to LaSalle in the afternoon. It was a great day!
Here is the plan for today:
Period 1 Red light, read aloud (probably the funniest chapter in the BFG). Then we'll make our advertisements for our own funny drink (like in the BFG).
Period 2 is writer's workshop. We'll talk a little bit about Onomatopoeia's and how Roald Dahl uses them. Then the kids are going to make up their own words (just like Roald Dahl) and come up with definitions for them.
Period 3 is Music with Mrs. Haynes.
Period 4 is Math, we'll continue working on Bar Graphs (reading and creating them).
Period 5 We'll continue social studies. Talking a little more about the differences between 1800 and now...and the different communities that existed back then.
Period 6 our brains will be spent...so we'll flake out to some free time hopefully (if we earn it!)
